That was really interesting and good to see that the evolution of music is being documented.Hopefully we could see something like that written about dubstep one day.
@creeperonfire- I like the sound you got there with the synths that seam to move around in my headphones- dont know what panning you used there? Refreshing to hear something that had more melody with bass undertones rather than the other way around!!
The vocal -'are you scared?' at the start is a ...
@caredub- I quite liked this actually and I thought I wasnt going to, the idea of filth and ambient dubstep didnt sound like it would work but it did. Im not a huge fan of the wobble you had panned to the right- it sounded a bit empty to me and you could have done with some higher pitched synths to ...
Just finished this. Tried to make it a bit oldschool and give it some hype. The tunes called 'tough love' if you follow the link to my soundcloud cos the player isnt workin
See what you think. And if you comment on mine I'll comment on yours :)
If there was a thread for people to put there soundclouds it would make the whole networking and listening to other peoples material thing alot easier.
But what makes you think people will suddenly start using soundcloud? Loads of people have a soundcloud link in their sig that is pretty much there ...
@Tragic Gash- That tune made out the house and garden noises or whatever- wow. When it first came on I didnt know what to think, and then as it progressed I really liked the swing of the beat and the sub bass fits really nicely. It actually reminded me of something burial might do!
Just heard 1000 yard stare and really liked it. Loved what you did with the sort of whispering throughout, really made the track and the drums kept the head nodding throughout.
You said on your myspace how you want to make more ambient stuff which I could definitely tell from this tune and it ...
@LTUK- I really like the tune in your sig- its got like a nice chilled out feeling. The bass is simple but it works brilliantly and the cold sounding synth youve got reminds me of a SKITZ beats tune.
New track!! this ones inspired by the movie V for Vendetta . really dark feel. This ones goin in Grime Labs new EP
@miniweapon- thats a pretty cool tune, the bass you got in there from the main drop sounds real crisp and full which is great. Lovin that sub bass in the intro as well but Im not a ...
I can say first hand that Reason is a great way to learn if your a beginner. Ive got an older version of reason (2.5) and ive had it now for two years and its all ive ever used.
Ive thought briefly about changing to something more professional but honestly I think I could just get the latest ...
move on and progress with something else. Then usually what will happen is you will hear something else and it will trigger your imagination for the beat and youll be off.
Just be patient cos the beat wont run away somewhere...
Your at a good standard, I like it. You tend to always use the same kind of basslines tho, im only judgin from the tunes on the page as thats all ive heard from you. But the quality is there and your getting ur tunes out which is good.
keep on the forum, the more people recognise you the more they ...
Yeh ive got a soundcloud but with only one tune on. I thought Myspace has got alot more freedom in what else you do with it in personalisation and blogs and stuff though?
I know Im a bit late on the Myspace thing but I was thinking about gettin one and puttin my tunes up on it. But is there any point? Do people still use it or has it been abandoned?
I just want to know if anyone here has one (be my friend?) and if you think I can gain anything from having one?
@Melodik THAT IS A BIG TUNE... love the space and feeling you create. If there was one bad thing I would say those bits of talking (from the movie I assume) are not high enough in the mix so you cant make them out, but you could have them lower in the mix to give a sort of background noise effect ...
