Re: Turning off the limiter on the master channel in FL 10.

I have DJ in my name because "savid" is taken. I'm not a fucking copycat, I'm not arrogant, and I'm not a know-it-all. I was speaking from experience and advice given to me from other artists. you sound like an all round nasty piece of work tbh mate. shame you don't have any quality tunes...

Honey Glazed presents - Majora, Cropper + more @ The Croft

Hear ye, hear ye... we're having a birthday balls up! Touching down at our favourite dugout in the south-west, The Croft will play host to some frisky birthday antics, celebrating the age of a certain Jamie Reddick. Oh and did we mention it's absolutely, completely 100% FREE? https://fbcdn-sphotos-a...

Re: send/return question

Best way would be to create an audio channel with a multiband dynamics plug, route your bass to that channel, solo the frequency you want to affect and then you can send that wherever you want. Something i've wanted from Ableton for a while is the ability to create return chains on instrument racks...

send/return question

lets say I have a bassline and I wanted to send the upper frequencies of that bass to a return channel with a distortion unit, thereby I could choose what frequencies to distort, AND leave the original signal intact. i know how to apply FX to certain frequencies, and i know vsts like ohmicide have u...

Re: amen breaks

When I make d&b, I only use the hats/ghost snares, and use different kicks and snares (one shots) and layer the hats of the Amen over those one shots to make it sound cohesive. I also gate the Amen when I do it that way, but my d&b is hardstep, anyway. That robotic groove is nice for that. ...

Re: amen breaks

i dont understand why... a. you would gate your amen b. why you would replace any of the samples the second one kinda defeats the purpose of using an amen. maybe layer some samples under it but dont replace any gating your amen is fair enough if you want it to sound gated, but you would have more j...

amen breaks

been getting into amens recently (im sure every producer goes through a phase where they feel like amens have to be a part of their sound) and im trying to get my sound close to skream, someone who has used this break to beautiful effect multiple times: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi-4Fd187bs so ...

Re: cassius 'i <3 you so'

no problem - i was also quite surprised while listening to the thing when the tempo lurched up a bit! yeah, mix-wise it's one for the melancholic lot innit, though judging by recent twitter back-and-forthing i wouldn't be at all surprised to see skream getting stuck into a refix for ed banger somet...

Re: the paradox of wub: monitors v woofers

my suggestion would be learn to mixdown on regular monitor speakers. if you can get it sounding good on those, then it will hopefully sound even better on a bigger bass heavier rig however one important thing any producer should know to is not to think of your speaker's sound as the 'true' sound. al...

Re: Stop David Gray From Covering Burial's Archangel

if you want to petition against bad music, go start a 'down with x-factor' petition instead of crying over one particular song that doesnt even exist yet and you wont have to listen to it when/if it is made

what a dumb topic
