Re: Headphones perfect for dubstep?

Generally I've heard the higher end Audio Tech's are good. I don't know about the sub-$100 ones though.

Both decent selections, but you're really limiting yourself. Dubstep is incredibly broad. The below is some songs off the top of my head that differ. If you do not like any of them its cool I'm just trying to fine tune what types of music u like. Here some examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mB...

The M-audios look decent the only issue I have is,
40mm drivers,
impedance: 64
frequency response: 10Hz to 20kHz.

Vs Denon AH 2000s

50mm driver
impedance 25
Frequency range 5 Hz to 45 kHz

The 2000s seem superior in every way, bigger drivers, easier to push and more range.

I laugh when you say they look pretty good. I know its subjective how things look but it looks like they used 2 breast implants bridged together. I personally like clean lines and real conservative look, hence me really liking the Denon AH 2000s as pictured above. I looked online and to my surprise ...

From what I've read previously I'd think the 2000's would be good. The issue becomes how easy to drive? Also is the bass warm with these? When listening to dubstep I like to hear a hard responsive bass.

How are the AKG K 518 DJ ?

They look fairly easy to push, not outrageous on size and look like they might be a step up from the Sennheiser 212's.

Any Comments ?

I got looking online and the cord goes on the left side? May seem like something minor but I could foresee that becoming extremely annoying.

This kind of gives you an idea as to how much music I listen too. I find myself often on other people's computers where I am unable to install programs or plug in an external HDD. Because of this I need a website that has music and ability to save songs. This also makes it hard to utilize an amp. If...

Thenox wrote:If you are looking for cheap clear sound and lots of Bass then go for the 60€ Sennheiser HD 212 Pro.
Thats exactly what I said, I want to find the step up from these. They are extremely light, clean bass but does suffer on the highs and past 3 hours of listening becomes kind of meh.

I tryied the 380's prior and felt really underwhelmed with them. I also tryied the 280's that sound solid when amped but dead without an amp. The size of the 280's doesnt help matters either.

Not feeling the idea of needing batteries for it to work. You are unable to use them if the noise cancellation is turned off.

When I said I don't care about the highs I mean I dont need anything really above 17k hz Frequency. Whats funny is most of the hifi expensive headphones say yeah we offer 18k up to 25k which blows my mind because the highest note is 16.4k hz. My reference to "not caring" is headphones wher...
