Re: C U B A S E 5

I do, i worked with cubase for years now so it was just logical to buy a legal version :D I think 5 offers ALOT of really usefull features. I haven't regret the purchase for a minute. Altough i was looking at the cd like "damn 550,- for a cd with software. That's two months rent!" lol Stu...

Re: Freq splitting mono-stereo-mono..?

Look at it this way, at the end of your mix you bounce down to a stereo mix, does this make your bass and less "mono" Sorry if I'm answering the wrong question, you seem to be asking does a mono bass going to a stereo channel make it "stereo" mono means it's coming out of both s...

Freq splitting mono-stereo-mono..?

I have a question for all you producers on dsf who split freqs. Right let me start off by how i do this so all is clear. (i work in cubase 5 btw but this should be universal) Bassline split in this way: 3 fx channels wich i use as sends: Low = Mono Mid = Stereo Hi = Stereo The main bas channel route...

Re: Finishing tracks

I'm certain this is a problem with quite a lot of people. It's the fact that I can get up to about 2 songs 90% completed in a day, but I can never actually finish them. I'm either too fatigued to be able to finish it right and get to a point where everything I do makes it sound worse, or just get s...

Re:

This one was driving me nuts all night, and I still have no idea what's going on. I'm leaning towards it being shortcircuit2's fault, as the problem seemed to be happening kind of randomly. I think this will be the last track I use sc2 in and see if this ever happens again: "Here's the basic p...

Re: PUT YOUR WORKS-IN-PROGRESS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.

http://soundcloud.com/aeium-1/mirage2 Please tell me what you think of this one. Listening to the first half had me wondering where are the drums..?? I can't seem to find a rithm in it either. Then when all comes together the snare hits and there's some more rithm. But you have all kinds of frequen...

Re: PUT YOUR WORKS-IN-PROGRESS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.

(Dazed) started on this one a few hrs ago... http://soundcloud.com/thierry-le-dj/dazed-1 (heavy bass) i think maybe the reverb is maybe to mouch on the synth...but a feed back would be great. Try using less wobble and more sounds. Right now it seems like just drums and a wobblebass all the way thru...

I saw Rusko Live at Paradiso Amsterdam @ OI! He really had the club going wild. The first time i saw him but i really liked the way he spinned that night. Hell the guy got a standing ovation from atleast 1000 people. They where screaming and clapping for 5 minutes when he was done 8) As for his tune...

I don't use any bit reduction plugins on my basslines. I use hardware to make most of them and then do a bit of bouncing to my old EMU or Akai samplers and 1/4" tape for extra dirtiness  I think it's time for a Q&A for you Akira. You one of the freshest producers out there at the mom...
