Re: The Reese
one thing I found that's really good for Reese's and movement is to turn off retrigger on lfos and such for filters. the o Lu filter I I Lu retrigger is a lowpass but I manually automate it but still have problems with filtering IMO. but for making the Reese have different characteristics every time...

Re: The Reese
mostly the Reese is simple to make. I used menace to make it. but it's really 3 saws detained heavily with 0.3 spread and in low octaves. in the track I put phasers and Flangers and bandpasses on sends so its getting mixed together. the movement is just notch filters from camalphat and I always make...

Re: The Reese
What Chad said. The last three songs I've started have all been of the Koan Sound type so I've been meaning to read about Reeses on DOA. I'm also going to probably record guitars and add em a song or two, once again in Koan style. also that's not a guitar it's just pulse wave modulation ran through...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@jimbeaux - Your drums need to be bigger man maybe just a little bigger volume, the bass needs some work cause they all sound lowpass to much like the sawed lfo. open the filter a little bit more for that sound and it will sound pretty sick man and theres a couple spaces in your songs either complet...

Re: Jokers fuzzy bass?
if you use massive mostly make a patch with a bunch of saws detuned and then go to voices and add 2 or 3. then what I do is okay sometimes in some songs it sounds like its getting super detuned so mostly throw a macro on the pitch spread thing in voices and automate it. you can get some pretty nice ...

Re: Any tutorials on how to use different filters?
the best part is fondling around. that's how you learn it perfectly. yeah it's tough but a video is not gonna explain for example if you use this type of shaping with this filtering what does it do. that's for you. mostly just get the manual. find out the basic knobs and bam make your own shit or us...

Re: I don't get it...

Re: is it time to start to add resampling into my workflow?
which producers are those? Old quote from the forum: "datsik uses massive (supposedly...i dont believe him) and excision uses z3ta/albino/massive/reaktor probably layering different synths to get a stupidly fat sound. It doesnt matter what you create in the synths, it's all about the pitch ben...

Re: is it time to start to add resampling into my workflow?
The best producers openly admit that their wobbles come from a vst resampled sometimes multiple times through third party effects. Which was a slap in the face to me when I'd finally learned the ins and outs of massive. I feel your pain, I'm still getting the hang of it myself. But it's like anythi...

Re: noisia bassline attempt (feedback please) :D
The noisia bass sound is something out of this world, they have perfected it very well. Mostly your sounds is way to harsh, get a nice detuned reese and also you can layer different synths like i sometimes layer my maelstrom reese with a thor and then an fm8 reese so its very large and very big. The...
