perhaps an un-mastered version then mastered specifically for dubplate might sound better, but i doubt there's any noticeable difference.

some people say its not worth cutting .mp3s, but i disagree. i've got some 320s on dub and they stand up to the .wavs on a rig, no doubt about it.

yeah, 320s via dubplate sound fine on a rig to me, what do you reckon?
and if a tune's been ghetto 'mastered' by the producer, you'd be best off getting an unmastered copy, and letting the engineer work with that.
i'm not being stupid am i? :?

are you saying don't cut 320's, but cut something that's been mastered badly? that's pretty contradictory :!:

Whilst wavs are better i would always prefer a well mixed 320 mp3 over a badly mixed wav.It might be more cost efective to get a good relationship with a stateside studio because since sept 11 all goods going into the US do not always arrive unopened but if you insist on cutting in the UK then pm me.

Ended up going with dubstudio. Got a 12" vinyl. Couldnt be more happy with it. Ordered two more. ; )
