I can honestly say I only hate 2 genres as a definite. Not 1 song I like from either. They are -

* Psy-Trance
* RnB

Some music is good.
Some music isn't
No one will ever agree on what is and isn't ergo people should get baked and listen to what they like.

Also this thread title is the weirdest use of a contraction I can remember.

yes he knows mariel ito!!! sick sick sick. prefer his mariel ito work over his more minimal techno based work as maetrik, which is what he seems to be concentrating on. basically all ive been listening to the last few days is this

Nothing better then some mucky Bristolian Jungletek when you want to speed it up more then 140.
Or some funky Bristolian electro techno when you want to go slower then 140.
In conclusion, techno is good

Anyone who likes dubstep has to like Luke's Anger - Love Hack. its the second link in my previous post or listen to it on his space to hear the fat breakdown with a wall of bass in ya face. the breakdown at 2.15 makes me go crazy. kemicals help I guess...

It's been around since the 1980s and has represented a lot of different sounds and ideas around the world. Some might think that techno music might be just a banging 4/4 kickdrum, a synth line and a couple of pills, and I don't feel like I'm a part of that, but if your interpretation of techno is futurist electronic music, then that's certainly something that I identify with.

i like alot of modern techno, especially minimal techno, and schranz is good too

but techno defines a shitload of different music, and is probably the broadest term for electronic music even though everyone uses the word in the wrong way

my interest in electronic music started with techno when i was around 16. i am 29 in a few months.

for someone to say they think something is shit is really showing a serious lack of intelligence. to say such a thing when you have to consider that the dubstep we all know and love takes influence from all genres of music is a little weak in its argument.
for some "big" producers this techno influence is really showing through in their work.

what sort of techno were you listening to brought you to the conclusion that techno was shit?
