First review of the EP by Cuemix Magazine (DE):

http://www.cuemix-magazine.com/cuemix/i ... image=1001

Here comes the second release of Spectraliquid’s “Mutant Dubstep” series. A series that breathes with its innovative sounds and ideas fresh air in this musical genre.
After the first done by Ebola now Cardopusher bewitches us with his unique sound. After releasing countless tracks on Cock Rock Disco, Mirex, Terminal Dusk or Ad Noiseam he now release three brand-new tracks on this stunning Greek label. With two additional remix versions done by Innasekt and Pacheko this EP becomes a celebration of innovative Dubstep. Cardopusher merges the classical heavy Dubstep sound with fresh ambient dance sounds. And with this unusual mixture he did something very special, he blows away the dust that fell on this wonderful music during the sell-out that took place in the last months and redefined this music new without destroying its roots. That’s really genius. These five tracks are the best prove that even a young musical style must be treated intelligent and carefully, because we all know that pop will eat itself. Spectraliquid did it again; they released a very special album/ep that can be taken as a milestone and a renewing innovative reference.
That earns a perfect ten for the music and a prefect ten for the label.

enjoy;)

Tons of people asking for a vinyl release...Dear Abs, if there will be one in 2009, it probably will feature just some of the tracks in the CDs, not all of them. More info on that later on...

As for vol.3, this will be by Mobthrow (www.myspace.com/mobthrow) and will be out late February '09.

Cheers!

SPECTRALIQUID RELEASES @ THE WIRE

Image

Spectraliquid's very succesful "Mutant Dubstep" EPs by EBOLA and CARDOPUSHER were reviewed by UK leading music magazine 'THE WIRE' !
Here's what they had to say:

"Sometime breakcore producers Cardopusher and Ebola, meanwhile add some interesting hybrid touches and high-gloss production to the straight-up dubstep-wobbler - particularly Shitmat's 'Rick Rubin goes techstep' remix of Ebola's "Teledildonics" and the gaseous trance chords floating over the treacherous bass swamp of Cardopusher's "Toothsmasher".

Published in "THE WIRE", Feb. '09 issue.

There will be more info as soon as a vinyl version is out. For the moment, we're preparing new stuff in both CD and vinyl format (Access To Arasaka, Mad EP and Somatic Responses to name a few).
