SICK NIGHT...
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING...
it was without doubt one of the best nights i have had at FWD>> so far...
awesome pre-birthday celebrations for me aswell...
D-Bridge was supreb...i loved every single tune he dropped and his mixing was tiiight...spot on...
Martyn was immense...i enjoyed every single second of his set...the guy is incredible...
2 of the best sets i've seen at FWD>> tbh...
big up Kode9 for playing some old jungle/d'n'b aswell at the end...
it was ridiculously busy in there!!!
i'm just happy i got in early...got a couple bottles of Guinness...got down the front and managed to catch all of D-Bridge's set and Martyn's set...
my only complaint is the slow speed of the Bar Music Hall bar staff as usual...they seriously take the piss...it is like all of them have taken a good few hits from a bong just before they start their shift...

wow, last night was something else. i knew it was gonna be busy, but didn't quite expect THAT! so many nice peeps there for the musik, which was, as it was always going to be, next level. loved that d-bridge, martyn and kode all came with something different. feelin the instra:mental collabs, LOVED martyn on the funky tip and almost died when kode switched it up from jungle to wonky future musik at the end. vibes in there last night.

yeah.... he played this tune towards the middle of his set which sounded ALOT like burial, exact same drum sounds, synth sounds, vocals etc and i thought it might be a new burial bit. after his set i walking to the toilet and i bumped into dbridge and asked him and he said that it was a collab.Ory wrote: you serious mate?
its fucking stunning as well.
i wondered when this was going to leak. blabber!insider wrote:new burial/dbridge collaboration

big boy fwd, one of the best ive been to. A perfect range, martyn styles, kode 9 on the jungle was perfect and a bit of grime at then end when jammer showedd up!
Couple of comments - people need to dance more to non 'jump-up'(excuse the term) like martyn, even with SP trying to make ppl move, 80 percent of people only wanted to move their neck.
What was the last tune on martyn's set?

yeah it was really odd, i felt for martyn who was working so hard! how can so many people come out to see him - the most rammed i've seen FWD ever i think - but not move much? i thought it would all explode when 9 went into jungle but even that was subdued. something in the LDN water last night?nimbus wrote:Couple of comments - people need to dance more to non 'jump-up'(excuse the term) like martyn, even with SP trying to make ppl move, 80 percent of people only wanted to move their neck.

Absolutely nice night tho.

couldn't fly out this time just for this
although I would've done so purely for this db/mrtn/kode9 line up
and YES dBridge not only is an amazing DJ but alongside Instra:mental and some others seems like he's holding the future of dnb in his/their hands.. All the new bits w/Instra:mental are amazing but... Burial-dB collabo?
and skream sayin on another thread that he's gonna collaborate with dB & Isntra:mental too? G O FOR IT and break those barriers maaaan!
and yes Martyn's sets are ultra rare affairs.
glad we finally got him back in Athens for end of April >>> with TRG>>>

really enjoyed the night, martyn and D bridge were HEAVY, that burial/dbridge collobaration was immense
, and martyn's mixing and tune selection was next level. kode 9 bringing the jungle made my day/night, hearing those tunes on the PP system was awesome.
i think the lack of movement from everyone was partly from lack of space, it was rather hard to move about when you were shoulder to shoulder with everyone...

loved it. this was my first FWD, i went on my own because i'm a sad git, had a great time, heard so so much good music. martyn was tops. the lack of movement was definitely down to the place being so rammed - there really was not enough space to properly flail about.
can't wait to go back...i think i'm just going to give up working on mondays now.
