I know this belongs in the Funky forum but no one is browsing it and i'm going Soho in a couple of hours so i need to know now! :lol:

the top floor of blackmarket has quite alot (and they have Emalkay - Explicit in store,which everyone should own)

Blackmarket is definately my favourite shop in soho

uptown (now based in wyldpitch)

they put out some of the 12s themselves so are therefore the only place to buy em

yep, uptown had to move out of their old shop so they've amalgamated with wyldpitch on lexington

reach both bm soho and uptown. bm soho has amazing house selection generally, but as mentioned uptown gets some exclusives and tp's

where is uptown? is it near soho? never been there before but i remebr they got alot of kromestar exclusives a while before the full release

yeh indeed, they've got totally different strengths i think. bm is much broader on US deep house and 'soulful' house in general, phonica is probably better on european and minimal stuff

phonica wins hands down on anything even moving towards being techno though obviously

i do always enjoy the vibe of bm soho many many times more though

but why not both eh given they are literally 30 seconds door to door!
