Join us Thursday March 19th in NYC for a special Shocklee post grammy celebration...
BOMB SQUAD will be performing Live in Session at Webster Hall and for the first time ever debuting tracks from the upcoming album!!
After their recent tour stops throughout Europe, BOMB SQUAD will finally be back in NYC.
BOMB SQUAD [Hank Shocklee + Keith Shocklee] already have a musical reputation of pushing the envelope and developing production techniques that have been immortalized in popular music history. Now in 2009 all eyes are on them, as they are getting ready to embark on one of the most exciting new music projects in a very long time.
"When I set out to create Public Enemy over 20 years ago it was just an experiment to see if music could raise the consciousness. Now looking back I think most can agree that music is the most powerful form of communication and for me as a producer it's always been a question of what you choose to do with that power. In 2009 I've got a lot of sh*t to get off my chest. I've been locked away in the dungeon with my brother Keith and a ridiculous amount of technology so hold on to your seats, it's about to get ugly. Bass, the next frontier, BOMB SQUAD back to the future."
In addition, special guests Sub Swara will be opening the show with their unique global dance floor mash of breaks, dubwise sounds, ragga dancehall, glitch, bhangra flavor and live percussion from their debut album Coup d'Yah.
The sound system is massive. The frequency is future.
This is going to be a BIG one so get in early...details below.
