FRUITY LOOPS 8 Question

I recently imported some of my wav and mp3 files from a previous version of Fruity Loops, and what I've began to notice is that. . in version 8, it doesn't play the full sound. For instance. . I had a TOM drum I downloaded, that has the little echo affect after it, but when I play it in FL8, it shortens it, like it cut it in half. . and it's doing that to a lot of my wav and mp3 files. Anybody have any suggestions?

are the default ADSF settings the same in FL8?

is it doing that in a loaded channel or when you are previewing sounds from your sample bank
