I've known 2 people in the last couple of weeks who've had to get their PS3s replaced as the bluray disc player quit on them. I thought PS3s were so well made this kind of thing wouldn't happen

. Mine still seems fine, it might be that the newer machines are the ones with a fault.
Evidently.....Cause I wanna get a xbox3shitty for skate2 and some of those RPGs what're out on it.. (FPS and that are PC games, to me..) The heatsink is to small for the xbox and that is the reason why RRoD happens.. so fuck it, i'm gunna put my xbox in a PC chassis and buy a new heatsink.... Know if this is possible? Or will it kill of warrenty

Dead Space on the PS3 is only £15 in Morrisons. Yes yes.

Anyone play Street Fighter IV yet?
The NA release date was today but the UK one is on the 20th.
I was thinking about picking it up today but I'm going to wait and grab Killzone 2 first.

Flashback is a wicked game! Excellent choice mate.
I'm not sure what homebrew is, so couldn't say. As for emulators, I'm not too sure either, but I don't think so. There is some compilation of mega drive games out, today, I think.
You could probably get some stuff if you chipped your xbox, but then it'd be useless online as there's some sort of auto detect thing that'll block your access.

homebrew is independent games, apps or emulators made by hobbyists, that sort of thing

Fair play, yeah I am becoming scum and buying a console for the first time since the PS1..
I got the R4 cart for my DS so I can play snes games on my DS going down to the misses's hahaha.. once I get Live i'll give you all a bashing on Street Fighter 4 and I'll probably be getting skate2 & an RPG or adventure game of somesorts.. plus my mate has like 70 games cause hes little brother don't even get out the house apart from for school so he buys him like 4 games when he gets paid.. so i'll rob 20 or so off him till I get some games
Deffo wanna get that crackdown played it in HMV or something when it came out, was immense.

Just picked up Skate 2, man it's insane, I've been skating all over the place for like 6 hours and I have no idea where I am, nor have I been to the same place more than once.

Picked up Halo Wars yesterday...
Feels like a bit of a Fisher Price RTS, it has to be said. It's very 'rigid' - bases can only be set up at particular points in the map; and buildings can only be built in certain places within those bases.
It feels like Ensemble have been too afraid to push the Halo canon, unit design very rarely straying from the usual that you'd see playing through any of the Halo FPSs.
That said though, it does look very good. When there's a big fight going on, it's a visual feast an retains the feel of other Halo games. The control system - designed from scratch for the 360 - works very well and is easy to pick up.
If I wasn't a massive Halo nerd then I'd probably not be too impressed with it - any C&C game poops all over it really. But if you're new to Real Time Strategy games, and are a big fan of the Halo series, I'd say it was worth a go.
Anyone else played this?
BTW Datman - £15 for Dead Space is a right bargain! Wicked game!

I downloaded the demo of halo wars and thought it was pretty sick, obviously not as good as C&C, but nothing can test C&C.
You're right about it being a visual feast as well, the battles look amazing.
Probably gonna cop it as soon as i get the moneys.

Still playing Skate 2.
Have now worn out two controllers (rubber coming off the analogue sticks) in just over a month.

Is SF4 good? I'm contemplating it.... haven't played a Street Fighter since SFII though!
