Novation Supernova II
Borrowing one off of a friend for a bit, just wondering if anyone knows if there is any way to trigger it WITHOUT using midi?
Like does it have some sort of signal trigger built in? Or am I gonna have to fork out 99p for a midi cable?

i've been thinking about this recently, now all the stuff from the 90s is old hat its fucking cheap. just wait 10 years and it will be 'classic' and 'vintage' plus the sounds are supposed to be wicked on the supernova.

Ah bollocks.
but I have a midi keyboard for my PC, which has midi out, so could I connect a midi cable from the midi out on my keyboard to the midi in on the supernova and that would trigger tingz?
Or am I gonna have to buy a midi interface for my PC?
New to all this midi stuff

Well annoying because it's just sitting next to me looking all fun, and when you turn it on it has pretty lights n everything, but there's nothing I can do!

you can audition sounds by pressing one of the buttons on the front panel.
I take it you are talking about the rack version.
In the manual, in page 111, it explains that in performance mode, you can use the 8 "part" buttons to audition the 8 parts of the performance multi.
I think that part 1 button also auditions the individual program that you have selected or are editing.
I also believe the find button allows you to search through groups of sounds as well, i.e. all basses grouped together, all leads etc.
I miss my supernova 2 now. Never mind.
Download the manual from this link:

cheers for the link to the manual, very helpful!
I managed to pikey a midi cable from someone in the end so I got my keyboard plugged into it, and it's hella fun!
