Artists that have influenced the way you produce
right veryone gets into production cos theres like one song/producer/artist and they think i wanna make music like that ( to my knowledge). Are there any producers that have inspired you to change up your stlye. for example ive been listening to a lot more of pinch's music after i approached a more sample based workfolw and i really like the vibe of his tunes. i never really fancied the 2 step influenced beats in my tunes but now i feel inspired to try and make them work. Any similar stories?
I seem to re-create metal/rock drums in half time, loads of ghost snare rolls and such, at least lately and I am LOVING acoustic drums, ive been making a lot of electronical rock music ... I also am using a lot of hiphop structure lately, mainly the most left-field blockhead/DJ Cam stuff, they way the do their intros and break downs and such. If this is what you mean?

It's very simple for me:
All time musical inpirations
RZA - Master of everything raw
Dillenja - Master of everything heavy
DJ Premiere - Master of everything head nod
Prodigy - Masters of emotion
Origin Unknown - Masters of spine tingles
Nu skool producers that have changed my ideas on production
Ohmwerk & Excision opened my eyes to hardcore dubstep
Monster X opened my eyes to creative edits
DEA opened my eyes to headbanging
Thark opened my eyes to mellow glitch
Everytime I hear a new artist, I take with me new ideas inspired from the songs I've listened to. These influences come from all music, not just 'electronic' or 'dance' etc.
Something that influences me a lot is going out to live events. The rawness of listening to music in a crowd and the pure volume of the music itself lends itself to gaining creative ideas!
