Yes, I remember that. Trying to keep to any sort of schedule or remembering anything at all was a difficulty. I wouldnt even hazard to try and organise a meetup this year with the increased venue size and capacity.ajantis_art wrote: haha, yeah i remember before the first one we all said we'd meet in the pub at 3 or something, sunday afternoon. don't think it happened though cuz everyone was off their faces all weekend, no sleep etc. i met loads of forum heads about anyway, we're bound to run into each other, forum force to be reckoned with mate!
I'm going to be there.
I'll be the one wth the horse mask and glowsticks.

Unlikely, but check with the bloc guys...Addiktz wrote: Also does anyone know if there'll be decks setup there so that anyone can spin a few tunes? Tempted to bring a few plates with me...

I would imagine that bloc and butlins wouldnt take too kindly to any sort of rig being brought onto the site. Don't want to fuck the license up and there's tons of decent music on for the duration of the weekender, so it ain't really needed..
Re: Big Up Dem Bloc!
spot on. the are no sound systems on site outside of the venues. a licence can be too easy to fuck up.[b]racket wrote:Unlikely, but check with the bloc guys...Addiktz wrote: Also does anyone know if there'll be decks setup there so that anyone can spin a few tunes? Jesus, you dont forget much do you?ajantis_art wrote: ah thee dubliner returns, u've not been about here for some time ay? you been in canada yeah? should i expect to see you at bloc in your blonde wig and very ravishing pink blouse?
Yeah I still jump into the forum now and again, but I guess I drifted back to minimal techno a lot and dubstep doesnt hold the same sway for me - but I do love the Bristol/Berlin axis (or whatever its called) so looking forward to seeing people like Joker, Appleblim, Peverelist, etc.
I am actually still living in Canada, but taking a trip back to Ireland for a couple of weeks for family reasons. But I thought seeing as how I was home I may as well hop across the water for a few nights... I had a huge FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and just couldnt resist it.
I think the transvestite/gender experimentation phase is over, so you may not recognise me any more... I'll probably be in the bar at some ridiculously early hour on Monday morning just before the bus is due to leave... just keep an eye out for the bloke with all the shit black tattoos on his arms

Not like the days of the Dedbeat raves in Hemsby...the Ceephax Acid cassette tape party was pretty memorableDROKKR wrote:spot on. the are no sound systems on site outside of the venues. a licence can be too easy to fuck up.[b]racket wrote:Unlikely, but check with the bloc guys...Addiktz wrote: Also does anyone know if there'll be decks setup there so that anyone can spin a few tunes?
