I tried to pick the best El-B cuts to re-introduce them to the widest audience. tbh some of the more obscure Ghost whites are also the weakest: it'd be silly to repress them when instead you can gather together what made Ghost great.Furiouz wrote:Classic release even though I was hoping for more unreleased or "obscure" El-B bitsNot moaning just a personal opinion. Big up!!!
And yeah, a full CD with sleevenotes from me is about to drop too.
Keysound Recordings, Rinse FM, http://www.blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.com, sub, edge, bars, groove, swing...
Yeah man, very good choice of tunes. All the best ones are on thereBlackdown wrote:I tried to pick the best El-B cuts to re-introduce them to the widest audience. tbh some of the more obscure Ghost whites are also the weakest: it'd be silly to repress them when instead you can gather together what made Ghost great.Furiouz wrote:Classic release even though I was hoping for more unreleased or "obscure" El-B bitsNot moaning just a personal opinion. Yeah, I was hoping for a similar thing, but it makes sense that it includes the most representative beats other than the most obscure.Furiouz wrote:Yeah man, very good choice of tunes. Careful though, the words 'weak' and 'Ghost' in the same sentence don't fit well

Watch out for a BIG El-B interview... there's a 1-page feature about him in the next issue of WIRE, but the whole transcript of the interview, which was really, really wide-ranging, is going up on thewire.co.uk soon, some 8500 words of it...
