Do you buy promos/tps as soon as they're out, or do you wait for the full release?

I always wait for the full release, but I got antsy and accidentally got the Roots of Dubstep promo. It's the only promo I have.

the promo option isn't exclusive, i'm sure no one only buys promos

I like white labels. There's something about having a blank label with marker pen scribbled on it. I never see a reason to wait for artwork. I'm not really too interested in looking at a record.

I like getting the music as early as possible, so quite often it's promos/TPs. IMO, artwork can really change to the way the music contained within is perceived, so for me white labels are a 'pure' format in a way.

As long as it's on vinyl, I'll buy it. Burial was the first cd I've bought in years.

Not fussed really, I buy as many records as I can on payday then that's usually it til nexx month. I get the proper DMZs tho I got a colourful collection, and I like the fact 001 and 002 are white labels.

The faster I can get fresh beats the better so white label is wicked when it's available

I dont play out so having music quick isnt an issue. generally wait for full release because artwork helps identify records in my box. Is long sifting thru whites.

hah same here, I generally wait but I will occasionally do it if I see the chance and am feeling impatient.

Quite sad that the majority don't want the artwork and prefer looking 'cool' with the dubs -r-

well, if i want a tune REALLY bad then i pick it up on promo if im quick enough to do so. i love artwork, it kicks ass for sure. but damn, if i gotta have a record, well shit, i gotta have a record! doesnt really matter either way to me, as long as the sound is in my hands.

and all this talk of 10"s, i had to post these lyrics to an old song. it's well fucking funny to me!

got me the strangest woman
believe me this trick's no cinch
but I really get her going
when I whip out my big 10 inch...

record of a band that plays the blues
well a band that plays its blues
she just love my big 10 inch
record of her favorite blues

last night I tried to tease her
I gave my love a little pinch
she said now stop that jivin'
now whip out your big 10 inch...

record of a band that plays those blues
well a band that plays the blues
she just loves my big 10 inch
record of her favorite blues

I, I, I cover her with kisses
and when we're in a lover's clinch
she gets all excited
when she begs for my big 10 inch...

record of a band that plays those blues
well a band that plays the blues
she just love my big 10 inch
record of her favorite blues

my girl don't go for smokin'
and liquor just make her flinch
seems she don't go for nothin'
'cept for my big 10 inch...

record of a band that plays the blues
band that play the blues
she just love my big 10 inch
record of her favorite blues
