REGGAE ROAST PRESENTS:
MAD PROFESOOR - DUB SHOW

JAZZ CAFE - FRIDAY 1ST MAY
7pm - 3am / Ticket Price: £15 Adv.
Advanced Tickets: www.jazzcafe.co.uk

After two incredible nights at the Jazz Café supporting none other than; LEE ‘SCRATCH’ PERRY and SLY & ROBBIE the Reggae Roast are running a complete 8-hour session.

This is set to be an amazing night with a live show from ‘The King of UK Dub’ MAD PROFESSOR and support from the explosive SCREAMING SOUL. As ever Reggae Roast DJs EXEL & MOODIE will be providing the toughest Roots & Culture, Dub, Dancehall and Digi-Roots, hosted by dynamic duo RAMON JUDAH and MC ISHU. This is a night not to be missed at the unbelievably low price of just £15.

Mad Professor's own Ariwa record label has released over 100 albums since 1981. In addition to his own dub and reggae work, which ranges from political to experimental to downright extraterrestrial, Mad Professor has remixed tracks for Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, Jamiroquai, Rancid, KLF and Perry Farrell. Amazingly he continues to release ever-creative interpretations of dub, in addition to a heavy road schedule, which finds him performing live all around the globe.

Mad Professor will be mixing tracks from his forthcoming album “The audio illusion of dub”. The professor will re-assemble the Ariwa Studio on the Jazz Cafe stage, mixing and re-mixing 24 track masters from this highly anticipated release. Guests on the night will be Joe Ariwa, Black Steel, Karl Melody and some special surprises from the legendary of Ariwa archives.

Screaming Soul is the organic sound of London at the beginning of the 21st century, infused with all the rich flavors and spices the melting pot has to offer. Their music takes you through dark alleys to dim lit jazz clubs, then out into the daylight, through the chaos of rush hour, weaving tales of inner city blues, before dropping you off in a smoked our reggae sound clash to wind your woes away.

Screaming Soul combines the wisdom and experience of maturity with the enthusiasm and curiosity of youth. This potent blend of old and new creates a fresh but familiar sound, which is capturing the hearts and minds of music lovers across the globe.
