Big up Stenchman!!!

Taken the last year, how many tunes do you guess you got finished on average per week? I mean 'finished' in a way that they are more or less complete, not necessarily perfect.

...and that 'deep like quim sensitive like shin' thing is a great idea man!

Keep on stinkin' 8)

i was just wundering do u make all ur beats strictly with the redrum pattern thingy, or do u draw it in?

also, whens run rabbit run coming out, i loved that tune ever since i first herd it
x
nah i draw em in step time usually, its pretty long at 1st but its got to the stage now where i can draw up the whole drum track without listenin to it 1st and know what its gonna sound like, u jus get the feel for it after a while. run rabbit run should be out soon on true tiger, watch this space!

two questions, have you ever written a concept piece? e.g the musical equivalent of hot buttered toast.

and

if your music tasted of anything, what would it taste of? a nice pie, whisky, vomit maybe?

yea i have done concept pieces but i think if you plan something beforehand it invariably turns out nothing how you imagined it and you get pissed off with it. personally i think my music would taste of castoreum and ambergris

not bad - a tune a day keeps the doctor away, right?

by the way - learning for my diploma i came across those cuties. they carry a mutation in a muscle-regulatory gene.

grrr, mutations can be quite sexy... :D

You mentioned earlier in the thread that you can tell in 10 seconds whether a toon has IT.

Its prolly shorter than that. But what the hell is that?

Do you think some people have it, and others don't?

Or do you think that IT can be learned?

Prolly the most relevant question for young producers...
think this is the hardest question i been asked, i dunno theres just always something which makes a tune likeable, but theres so many different charecteristics a tune can have which give it "that" that it is impossible to categorise it. for me some ppl have it and some dont, but i also appreciate sometimes how a tune that dont do it for me could do it for other people if you know what i mean? i think whatever IT is, its that part of you that gets represented by your tracks, the part that when someone listens to it they think "my god they must have been angry when they made that" or whatever. the bit that makes the listener relate to whatever the artist was goin through at the time of making the track. i guess thats it really, a tune has "it" if you can tell it was crafted with passion, if you can tell something was jus boshed up in an hour while someone was bored it dont really have that magic, even if it sounds well put together
