Can only hoped they've got over their shitty policy of turning away people as they pleased

I think somebody mentioned that they are a bit more relaxed about that on the substance nights. I wouldn't say that they handle those things badly on the other days either. The place can get extremely packed, they have to turn some people away every now and then.. well and with some people you can see right away that they are going to turned away, because they are not a good fit for the club.. like 6 guys, looking like business men, completely fucking drunk and rowdy. I would say the door at berghain is one of the most professional ones I've ever seen. They look at you and make a decision and that's it then.. in other clubs the bouncers love showing off their power. Turning people away, only to have them beg for 5 more minutes to get in. Never seen that at Berghain.

It's not just people being rowdy that they turn away though, me and 2 mates went there in the summer only to be given a shake of the head as if to say we weren't cool enough or whatever to get in - nothing rowdy about us at all. It was fucking annoying cos we'd all been looking forward to check out the berghain for ages, only to find out that we didn't have to right image to fit in with their 'cool', really really shit policy IMO. Luckily we just went to the tresor afterwards and had an awesome night

I'm going to rock up in a leather corset with half my head shaved in a wedge and a sample of Richie Hawtin's saliva laminated on a chain around my neck.
Then we'll see if I'm bastard cool enough.

I will out tattoo-face the bouncer. He doesn't wanna ramp with the boy with the 99% ink coverage.
Nah not going to DMZ unfortunately.

I don't think you have to have a specific image to fit in. Thats actually what I really like about Berghain. It's a very eclectic mix of people. You will see anything from a bodybuilder gay guy only wearing leather shorts, to skateboarders, to poshly dressed people. There are probably still things that make it pretty sure that get turned away (being rowdy, completely fucked up drunk or whatever, large groups and so on). If they still turn you away, it's probably because you were one of the unlucky random people they decided to turn away. They simply can't everybody in. I don't know any club that lets in every single person who queues in front of their door.
I can understand though that it sucks if you specifically came for that to Berlin... well, it sucks no matter what. I also got turned away once, after having no problems to get in at least 20 or 30 times. Like I said, bad luck. Happes to everybody sometime.

allways same story with berghain door policy,
but thats allright, i red so much about that so i would never go to berlin just for that, and im prepared for going somewhere else or get back later or something, that is one thing more that makes that club so good

this is how it should be done. all sets were on point - loved the diversity. out to paul & paul, bring on july!
btw: did jamie play a remix of aquafresh - or was i hallucinating? changes - distance rmx was a lot too, proper eyes-down bizness.
