i think it's just more immediate over a vast amount of space now.
also, i think the internet lacks the subtlety of proper human interaction (ancient memory?)

My advice, from having being involved in this sort of thing on other boards is don't! Trying to tie down a genuinely evolving scene in words on a board is a waste of time - and it has absolutely no impact on what happens amongst the music makers and DJs.
Instead use your energy to start a night or make some tunes, or host some rinse fm mixes.

i started a night, made some tunes and host some mixes - and still have time to write shit here
