can people be critical without it being moved to off topic tho?
If the threadstarter wanted to be "taken seriously" maybe this would've remained in the main forum. Clearly, thats not the case.

If a thread is meant to create drama that's unconstructive, then it's going to be moved to offtopic. The moment it get's to circular arguments or "he said she said" then it get's moved to offtopic as well.

We allow other threads that are loosely related to dubstep, and at times others that are outside dubstep to remain in the Main forum. There's no concrete rule as we're not trying to have a huge presence on the forum.

Let me just remind you that, the moderator's aren't waiting with baited breath to move topics. We may move 3 or 4 topics a week, if that.

All this reference to d'n'b as the epitomy of shit music merely demonstrates a lack of peoples knowledge of the diversity of the style.

People gettin well over-protective here. If someone doesn't like something and you do, it shouldn't devalue it unless you might be thinking that maybe it isn't that good.

Like the way that it's already devolved to people telling the guy to fuck off, slaggin off dnb (again) and trying to cosset dubstep like it's some sickly infant. And of course virtually no-one is actually looking at the parts of the original post which may smack of some truth.

This argument has been played out since the Beatles vs Stones arguments of years ago - you can like both (or neither).
Hmm....
