Baraka is a staright up breathtaking film, unforgettable.
you lot should try watch "King of Kong", although it's quite long it's hilarious. its about rival video game fanatics in america, competing to be the first to get a perfect score on Donkey Kong. Haven't got a link i'm afraid, but seek that shit out!

haha was jus about to suggest that one myself, jokes.
adam curtis is a ledge, his stuff is awesome.
Check out some of alex jones's stuff, i know people have mixed opinions about him and his delivery may seem a bit preachy at times but the content is always interesting and usually spot on (with exceptions!)
Take it you've seen 'Loose Change' nobody had mentioned it so thought I would, serves as a good introduction to other doco's on similar subject matter.
One of the best documentaries I think I've ever seen is called 'Chavez: Inside The Coup' seriously fucking amazing, talk about right place at the right time for the crew. It basically centres around venezualan socialist president Hugo Chavez and how he was using the profits from the countries oil sales, and giving it back to the people of the country and not the fatcat american buisness mens pockets, which pissed America off, so the CIA try to form a coup to out the president and secretely start riots, and it basically kicks off to the point where the film crew are inside the presidential palace (with Hugo) with the army outside with tanks threatening to blow the place up. Quite a long winded description I know but trust me it is totally incredible.

Yeah, picked this up on a whim a couple of months ago - my housemates HATED it, I loved it... I reckon if they'd stuck with it they would've got it, tbh.LEQ wrote:The king of Kong was classic, nice recommendation.
The "champion" is a fucking DOUCHE.
This week I've mostly been watching:

Hold tight trying-to-understand-Physics crew!
Meus equus tuo altior est
"Let me eat when I'm hungry, let me drink when I'm dry.
Give me dollars when I'm hard up, religion when I die."
