Evening, I began listening to dubstep a few months ago and have only begun to mess around with production of said genre for about half that. I've just been messing around with loops and synths, but I had an idea in my head and had to get it to the sequencer asap.

It's my first real "dubstep" tune (I hope im not insulting people with the poor quality of my sound by calling it dubstep). It's extremely rough around the edges as its only a frame for what I want it to become.
Feedback desired, particualrly harsh criticism to improve

.
Thanks.

I specifically apologise for the crude low cut on that filter

Lol, so much better than my first ever dubstep tune mate,
couple of things,
arrangement could be a little better, perhaps more of a build up.
Also, maybe use a bit more variation, the human ear is very good at noticing repitition, so a few subtle changes in the drums, or added layers keep listners interested!
very impressive though!

Thanks for your advice

. I've already began to mix up the percussion, i agree it will sound better with variation and better arrangement.

Not too bad, though I agree with osdenyer, even tiniest change keeps you on the wave. And adding some vocals really spices it up!
But keep up the enthusiasm and good work mate!
PS. I posted my first dubstep tune here yesterday:

I was waiting for someone to say that but it's called Lemon so I had no choice except to remix it...it's the citrus way.

Again cheers for the advice, I have stripped the arrangement back to the basics and begun to structure a more listenable song.
Changed various things, and sequenced an amateur but hopefully listenable intro, which in my mind brings in the bass less harsly and a smooth transition

.
I'll upload a updated version soon for more criticism
