The general standard of people has gone down regardless of technology. Having a good phone just gives me a good excuse to avoid retards.Spaceboy wrote:1. 24 hours a day you are a slave to your job.
2. makes you a social retard...constantly checking mail.
I have a Sidekick 2, which I prefer to the Blackberry - esentially the same thing though.

doesn't really answer my question. i'm wondering how much companies are spending for the priviledge of having 24hr staff on 8 hour wages.Spaceboy wrote:free! company pays for it. (thank god)boomnoise wrote:so how much does one cost to run?

Orange M3100 man - runs on Win Mobile 5.0 (a good thing), WiFi & Skype as standard. Decent review here: http://www.coolsmartphone.com/index.php ... 0&Itemid=3
You can pick up one for free with Orange on certain tariffs, recommended.
blackberry users= overworked, underpaid, stressed individuals.
if you take a look at any random train carriage at rush hour in my town, there are easily 15 to 25 blackberrys around you. the problem now in regards to spaceboy's comment, is that your job contract requires you to be "on message" (<<literally the wording in my contract). so in once sense, the blackberry is a part of your job; the thinking being that your input at all times is crucial to business. this is especially true of businesses like finance and advertising, where time is literally money.
it also means that as human's we're giving up a major part of communication face to face. there's so many times when i've run across people who say things like, " let's "berry" at 645, rather than trying to get everyone together." lol
