whats your favorite sub-genre

Post by FSTZ1 » Wed Mar 18, 2009 7:40 pm

ok just for fun...

lets classify and categorize dubstep music

personally, I like the dub-steppy dubstep, clubstep and rapstep

I'm not a big fan of darkstep or glitchstep

what about you guys?

Ghettostep.

Bass as dirty as a bathroom floor in a crackhouse.
Halfstep jungle beats.
With rap samples.

Seems to be more of a North American sound. Basically just listen to my new mix at the bottom of my sig 8)

Popstep.

I like "High End" radio ready tunes, like Rusko / Caspa / Benga

Dubcore - Ohmwerk (although I don't think he'd admit it Image), Noiz, Excision, Broken Note

Burialstep - Burial, Thark

Indy electronica influenced dubstep - Cavada

Overdosed on the Spongebobstep personally... Too 'nails on the black board' for me :(
