been into it since early 2000black & archive releases & still got love for the early west london shit. a big influence to me, especially dego's stuff. nowadays i really enjoy spinning a mix-up of broken beat and dubstep.. you have to play the broken stuff at +8 though..

(*self promotion mode* there's some freaked out broken bits on my brand new album, see below)

yeah the older 2000black is quality (check da vibe by nubian mindz is heavy) and those archive 10"s are deep - mixes real well with older dubstep, esp loefah beats..

tbh it kinda lost it in last year or so with way too much emphasis on cheesier vocals and jazz noodles..

Yeah, bits I've heard have been far too noodly, but there's some good stuff out there. Not mad into the rhodes and doodles stuff as I like my jazz a bit more raw and emotional - is there any bb out there that would fill that definition? Got the Bungee Jump against Racism tune (recommended here at DF) and a semi-dancehall one called Rolex which I quite liked, and pointers for that sort of stuff would be appreciated.

I'm thinking more Coltrane than 70's fusion if that helps
Hmm....

I've been well into the bruk sounds since around 2000. Things have definitely slowed down, but still the occasional gem. Domu and Shifty started up a new net label called OOO. They've done a couple releases so far. The first one has a tune by Domu called Tell Me Something with nice heavy beats on it. You can find that here: OOO

I've done quite a few broken mixes over at Future Breaks FM!. Here's the most recent one that has some dubby bits: http://www.futurebreaks.fm/blog/jus-wan-7152006/

Glad to see some folks are feelin that sound here :)
