But taking the same song and adding another rapper doing an extra verse while not changing anything else about the tune is?

It is dubstep - Its at 140 and has subbass. That is the agreed upon definition of dubstep, at least here on this board.

Sorry it wasnt a good enough for you, but that is pretty much the correct answer. Look, I didnt want to sample the source material on '93 till because I like how it was used in the hip hop tune. I also wanted to use the vocals, but there is no accapella anywhere that I could find, and I looked for three days.

On the Pharcyde remix I did sample the original Stan Getz tune, because I wanted more flexibility with trying to make it sound more like Dilla's / the Pharcyde's version at a slower tempo.
