He certainly does it justice, I'll say that. I'm lovin' that Souls of Mischief remix too. People need to remember how to chill a bit more, .

Check the full 4 tracker via the Virbspace instead of just grabbing it down for your greedy-ass selves.
This is neither time or the place.

you just made a dubstep track sampling 93 til infinity instead of sampling billy cobham - heather. those really arent remixes in the hip hop world.

i know. it's kinda corny though. why not just sample what the rap song sampled? it'd sound a lot better/different. plus if anyone who doesnt know what dubstep is stumbles on those on youtube, they're gonna be pretty confused.

so effing what? You're just slating peoples work, what has KL ever done to you? at least not post at all instead of some smug remark..

Wheres the family vibes gone and encouragement that people are just doing their own thing and feel like sharing it, is my question...

The free EP is stupidly sick and I for one, really like what was done to the tunes!

1. i never said the remixes (lol) were bad.

2. if everyone posted shitty tracks on here and everyone else was always like "wow big tune mate, 320?" then those producers are just encouraged to make shitty tracks. if someone does post some wack shit you gotta call them out on it, and note specifically why their music is bad, then they can work on it.

1 problem, it isn't whack.

and in that case, your tunes are shit and just have choppy fucking samples repeating 10 times in a row

go post shit about a shit musician then, dont come on here and fill up a thread with bullshit about a real one.

rant rant rant with you, go get a job so you can afford a bigger harddrive

But taking the same song and adding another rapper doing an extra verse while not changing anything else about the tune is?

It is dubstep - Its at 140 and has subbass. That is the agreed upon definition of dubstep, at least here on this board.

Sorry it wasnt a good enough for you, but that is pretty much the correct answer. Look, I didnt want to sample the source material on '93 till because I like how it was used in the hip hop tune. I also wanted to use the vocals, but there is no accapella anywhere that I could find, and I looked for three days.

On the Pharcyde remix I did sample the original Stan Getz tune, because I wanted more flexibility with trying to make it sound more like Dilla's / the Pharcyde's version at a slower tempo.

So, what are you saying? Do you like them or not? In bullet point number one you say you didnt say they were bad, but then in number two you talk about how everyone is bigging up shitty tracks on here. So what is it?

Next time I guess Ill check in with you before releasing them to make sure they're up to your standards.

Biggups to all the supporters in this thread and the 500+ who have downloaded this EP so far. Thank you all. :D

don't even bother

I've argued and bitched more than normal because I've had NOTHING to do today, but all this guy does is bitch on here like he has the right to

I mean seriously, he bitched about the FREE 320s on here being too big and how his hard drive couldn't manage it, free

not worth the time

the tracks are dope, especially this one
anything else said is a lie

no. i'm not a fan of that practice either lol.

but people who dont know what dubstep is who hear your remixes are gonna be like "umm where are the verses? is this an instrumental? it sounds different though..."
kidlogic wrote:I didnt want to sample the source material on '93 till because I like how it was used in the hip hop tune. I also wanted to use the vocals, but there is no accapella anywhere that I could find, and I looked for three days.
whats the point in remixing it then, if you liked it the way it is?
kidlogic wrote:On the Pharcyde remix I did sample the original Stan Getz tune, because I wanted more flexibility with trying to make it sound more like Dilla's / the Pharcyde's version at a slower tempo.
if you wanted to do that you could just pitch it down... this is what i dont understand. you're making a remix but you just wanted to recreate dilla's flip of a sample.

they're ok, the keyword in #2 was "if".

why don't you stop questioning his intent and either listen to it or fuck off?
