(new track) .. Mass Dampers

Post by ekstrak » Fri Sep 22, 2006 8:32 am

Just done preliminary mix on this last night. There are def still loose ends in here and think the last eq on the stereo mix bus was a bit harsh.. Will be going back in tonight to finish it proper.

Still, please take a listen, let me know what you think:

rinsed it yesterday.
halfway set, mixed in after scuba-twista (which fits just perfectly)
people where humping away man, really enjoyed it, too bad the lights where to low, so i couldn't film it.
and when i took it down the peeps where fucking screaming and applauding for about half a minute :3:

one thing tho, i was thinking it before, but on the bigger system it was more noticeable.
the noisy thing panning around after the 2nd drop, it lays to far from the rest of the sound, for some how it doesn't fit quite as it should and sounds more like a side effect of the system than an additional sound to the music.
maybe it's just too much, or it's the layering/eq/master thing, but i don't know jack about that.
but i just thought i'd mention it..
little criticism along with big load of appreciation and props for this one, really one of my fav tracks atm!

agreed, massive tune!!
maybe a little bit too much panning at some moments (eg. 2:26-2:28) for my taste...
