Chemical record deck skipping all over the place...

...well, not exactly but enough to notice it. at first i thought it was certain badly recorded tracks but i've started to notice it with every track i play on there. is anyone else getting this problem? or is my computer just a little bit retarded...? :?

i get this thing where it's about to drop and it just fast forwards on the brink of the drop to like 30 seconds later. It only seems to happen with records that have come out in the last month or so aswell....
getting a bit annoying
