I've fallen into this trap a couple of times too. I think, as a general rule, Uptown don't get anything truly exclusively, maybe for a couple of weeks or so. But if its a reasonably big tune then Boomkat, Chemical and Redeye will get it in.

And, if you think about it, Uptown are never gonna have all 500 copies of any 12" are they?

this is mostly true, and more so now that funky's got a bigger distro in the last couple months. however in the past uptown have actually bought all copies of a release to make sure they have it exclusively! :o plus they also put out the occasional white label which they keep for themselves (i think those road cuts 12s were)

On the subject of Uptown they told me that they are basically acting as the distributor for a lot of these releases. Thats why they get some of them first, they then sell them on to other outlets.

Anyway copped this today Nuwamba - Heaven really nice US release that works in a Funky/Dubbage set. Apparently there are Abicah Soul mixes as well. You can listen to it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxuAxUTfNCg. Let me know what you think 8)

Blak House is sick! It's in at Juno as well:

http://es.juno.co.uk/labels/Solo+Traxx/

EDIT: The samples are labelled wrong on Juno - Blak House is labelled as the Anything But Monday tune - check that!

I came across this yesterday on boomkat, the samples on there sounded sweet. I cannot wait until it arrives.

Press Release
No stranger to us at Shack HQ, Boddhi first appeared on UK shores through our club Night in London back in 2007, since then his rise in the world of music production has gained momentum.
Boddhi made his debut for us on our sister label UGH remixing “Sniper” with Seed Allstarz and Quentin Harris then slammin it with an afro soul reworking of “Ketokole” by France native Bertrand Dupart.
Now taking things further Boddhi steps out on Shack Music with “On Point” a jackin dancefloor booty shaker big in sound and even bigger in bass but with enough depth to have meaning and delivering soul!
We have 3 mixes in this package, the main mix being the obvious stand out track for us with the Rampage mix taking things deeper whislt the Psychic mix brings about an element of mystic and ambience.
Don’t take out word for it check it for yourselves!!!
