neat:
Over the years the generally accepted low frequency limit of hearing has been 20Hz, some suggesting 16Hz. However nothing existed to produce significant enough output to change this belief. This development will spawn new special effects and we will begin to understand the true low frequency limit of human hearing.

yea man, lets start the quest for the true brown noise. also 7hz loud enough can kill apperantly
In the early seventies the French military built a prototype sonic deathray called "Le Monstre." It was a phased array (row) of resonant tubes powered by a jet engine. Just like radio and medical sonograms, the phased array could be steered. The resonant tubes were 78 feet in length for an extremely directional 7Hz output. This horrific device could kill a man more than a mile away!

* "A 7Hz tone of sufficient amplitude can crack the walls of a masonry building and can affect a phenomenon known as brain entertainment whereby normal brainwave frequencies are reclocked and vital processes are catastrophically disrupted. Individuals, thus 'down converted,' usually die within seconds, though not before experiencing excruciating pain as internal organs are literally churned by tsunamis of air. Terrifying indeed." - Dan Sweeny, WSR v6 n1 issue 32

Note, the model 17 must be professionally installed in an attic or basement which becomes an infinite baffle.
Forget the car boot Sub, its all about the yard basement Sub :o

rotary designs are often quite groundbraking, for example the mazda RX-8 is only a 1.4 but because its got a rotary engine the thing fuckin FLYS!!

Nice idea, but doesn't sub bass on vinyl have to cut off somewhere around 20-25hz to stop yer needle jumping? There'd be nothing deeper to play... though it reminds me, i read something in the wire a while back about the hafler trio using a WWII hand-crank sinewave generator to get some proper subsonics going on. Fuckin' old skool.

Bring it on - the vinyl doesn't need to go down that far - all you need is a sub harmonic generator wired up to the shiz.
