pretty much. welcome to dubstepforum :P

i love it personally. bass is nice but it shouldn't be all there is to a tune, which sadly seems to be the way things are going
we need more melody coki mad head is a prime example
Surely not actually a good example?

The melodic writing in that tune is pretty damn plebby :?

Drum patterns.

just realised i never actually answered the question, so my favourite things would have to be melodies, interesting drums (bongos, high hats etc), and nice sexy bass that's like getting a big warm hug from your speaker; none of this bass that sounds like you're being gouged in the ear with an electric toothbrush. and you can't go wrong with a good vocal (preferably female ones)

2. Snare

3. When you can hear the hard work that has gone into making a quality tune
