cpu problem

Post by jostov » Wed Apr 01, 2009 6:27 pm

Fellow producers,

I have been using reason 4 to cook beats for quite some time now and it all went on well without any cpu problems for ages. But last week I bought a new soundcard (TASCAM US-122L) and it sounds all lush.

But since I hooked the card up with my pc, reason is hating on my ass, if I only have a small bassline, some drums and a little pad playing it says my computer is too slow too play. I've tried different drivers (AISO/directx), cleaning up my pc , updating my sound card drivers but my cpu still keeps fucking about. I run a AMD 64 x2 Dual-Core 1.9Ghz with 2 gigs of ram.

Anybody got an idea how to cleanse this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you are having latency problems. Have you selected the new soundcard in reason? And did you adjust the latency of your soundcard? If not that should solve your problem. With a pc system like that you should not have any problems. If you did check it already then i don't know...

Succes!

Yeah I did check that already, my latency is normal (around 60 ms).

But thanks anyway!
