Is it something to do with sending MIDI data through firewires to each other or something?

In an interview Skream said they are each controlling a certain part of the song i.e. Benga on Drums, Skream on bassline and Artwork on Synths (just an example don't flame me if that wouldn't work) but yeah something along those lines.

If there using ableton, then the main attraction of using it live is you can disect a track to its elements, mixing the drums of one with the drop of another effects and loops from your library, with midi/audio effects u couldnt match on a mixer/cdj or whatever.

Automation clips triggered....

The list goes on, its the future

Antiform (from New Zealand) perform live in much the same way.

One master laptop and 2 slaves, all controlled by midi and sending signals to each other over firewire.
