audio of the high contrast mix. s'ok, i prefer the skream mix.
fave mix is the foamo edit of skream's mix, on some 4/4 electroey burial tip.

That's all he does isn't it? It seems every time I check a tune on youtube there is a High Contrast remix which involves speeding the tune up, putting it over some breaks, adding two or so generic dnb drops and finally removing anything interesting from the tune.

This made me lol, but it's totally true! High Contrast is great at production and he's got some good musical ideas at times, but man, he has to leave all those non-spoken dnb rules and start to make tunes with some real progression. that re-edit is just wack, there is nothing to it after the first drop...Funky Stanton wrote:DVT wrote:The HC remix is just the skream remix sped up with some breaks in there isn't it?

My personal favourite is the Foamo edit - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5UTobXLwrU
3 things I miss most from the UK... swede, cider and the music scene!

apparently theres a sick diplo one too
wow, just heard the original - has given me a new found respect for this version
its not my favourite skream tune by any means but he has worked wonders on making this tune sound so powerful
everything about the original harmonies and melody that skream took out or rearranged has made it sound 100% better imo
it takes skill to polish a turd like that so it shines so bright
in fact i would go as far as to say that it is a work of alchemy - that skream has literally turned a nugget of turd into a nugget of gold

yeah it does have a bit of a homebase snare but to be fair it does suit the slightly retro vibe of the tune, i just think skream has made the actual melody of the tune sound a hell of a lot better by changing or simplifying the chords behind the vocal line and getting rid of that synthAbs wrote:not to say the original is really that good, but i prefer it to skreams remix, the drums are just way too cheesy.. sounds like he jacked the beat from one of those power ballads you hear them playing in homebase.
i cannto beleive this but i just heard the skream remix of in for the kill at 3 in the afternoon on radio 1!! maybe dubstep is going mainstream

andy c remix?
was at a rave in brum on friday and andy c dropped some fierce remix of this. i dont think it was the high contrast remix, it sounded harder and the bass had more of the original skream one - but i cant be sure.
i cant find it anywhere....
so if anyone has any idea or news let me know.
oh and skream, what was up with the sound on friday? was a speaker broke or something cos it sounded bare distorted. was a bit of a downer.

This is all kind of true, but the Adele remix is still gigantic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32z7USfMD1smoujah wrote:This made me lol, but it's totally true!
