Send me a PM with downloadable links or use my Soundcloud dropbox.
I have a show on Sub.FM and I play bass music that I like, nothing more nothing less. I'm just as likely to play chinstroking dub as I am enema-inducing wobbles. I like dancefloor and ponder-core and everything in between.

Holy shit, I just realised who you are, unless I'm mistaken... I was just listening to Cold Heat, then it clicked O_OabZ wrote:Fitz wrote:Legendary wrote:To quote the man above, the people who play the sort of sound you're making. Fair enough. Is it a complete waste of time sending them to labels, or is it worth a try??
It's worth it but try to get AIM. It's not that hard to do most label owners are down to earth like me and you. Since I am one now I should know that! But that way it allows you to strike up a little chit chat while you are sending your tunes down. If they like you they are more likely to consider you tunes. It also be uncomfortable for both if you send shite, so don't do that. Make sure your shit is tight. But tbh the best place to start is the old dub sectionGet them out to DJ's especially the internet dj's. And do ego searches and see where your tunes are popping up on tracklists, get your tunes to those dj's first, you already have their attention! If no one is playing them then you might consider woodshedding a bit longer.
Lastly send your dubs to me!
Lol, but anyway, I'm just forcing my tunes in everyone's faces until I get some attention.
Well, not quite, but I'm trying.
Well that sounds like a really nice compliment if I am not mistaken?DJPavillion wrote:Holy shit, I just realised who you are, unless I'm mistaken... Ol' Dunny over here beat me to it...FSTZ wrote:I have a radio show dubstep.fm and I try to debut new producers weekly
feel free to send dload links to fstz1 @ gmail dot com
I was just gonna say the same thing... except to send em to kidlogic42 @ gmail dot com or if you see me on AIM to 'kidlogic42'
I spin weekly with Shambles, Tminus and sometimes JViz on dubstep.fm and usually do a renegade show or two throughout the week for fun. Send it to me or one of them and it will get played if its good. (Might take a show or two though sometimes to be honest, between us all we get a load of dubs - our shows are 5+ hours sometimes and we still dont have enough time!
As an aside... dont get pissy if someone doesnt play your tune right away, even if they said they would. Sometimes theres last minute issues with a download, things get forgotten in the rush of getting ready and getting to the studio, and sometimes we (or whoever) just run out of time.
I mention this because last week I had someone hit me up about playing a tune. They actually hit me, Sham and T up, and sent us all links to the tune. On my end, I just couldnt get the thing to download due to a bad link. Shamble and Tminus had time to check it out before hand and it was so poorlly mixed/mastered that it was basically unplayable. On top of that, it really didnt fit any of our styles.
So dude jumps in the chat about an hour into our show. First thing he says is, in caps, "WHY HAVENT YOU PLAYED MY TUNE YET? WHEN ARE YOU GONNA PLAY IT?" and on and on... I explained the link issue I was having with it, since I wasnt spinning at the time and the dude GOT MAD. WTF? Im doin you a favor homie, no need to get testy.
So a bit longer into the show, he still hasnt heard it and starts to say, in the chat, how we all suck, we're shitty DJs, our show sucks, the station sucks, etc... which, due to the vugarity and sevarity of his language, got him banned from the chat.
Needless to say, he wont be getting spins from us, regardless of how much better he gets with production.
That, is the exact opposite of how you should handle it if your tune doesnt get played.
On the other hand... when I get a tune that isnt quite up to snuff, but the producer is a nice, friendly, enthusiastic cat open to constructive critism, Ill gladly give that out if they'll listen. I was there once (and a lot of time still feel there) so I know what its like, and Im more than happy to share what I do know and can help with.
Long story short, Id love to hear your stuff, and anyone else's who wants to send me some tunes, and if they fit into my set, they'll get some spins.
