i think newcastle does fairly well considering the size of the city. Heavyweight regularly hosts pretty awesome events, Kromestar, Magnetic Man, N-Type were all absolutely awesome nights and probably the best nights I've had out apart from Subdub vs Exodus down in Leeds
We used to have the regular white elephant nights as well which was a bit more friendly but without professional management the night collapsed

Here like divvnt be gannin off one about Newcasterl like or a'll bite yer nose offSick Cat wrote:Ever been to Turbulence in Newcastle? 90% of the crowd in there are fine to be fair but you get the some dappy twat sticking a camera in your face. I don't want my fucking photo taken! Then there is the bunch of kids off their face flicking sweat all over and the obligatory fat geordie with his shirt off dancing with his shirt off.
Perhaps I am in a bad mood tonight so it seems much worse than it really is but I am getting tired of going out in toon.
And no. I do not want your fat sweaty little cock pushed up against my arse when I am at the bar nor do I want you comment on my tits. I AM PERFECTLY AWARE I HAVE BIG TITS YOU DENSE FUCK.
Yeah they get some good names and that and like she said most people there are OK, it is just the atmosphere, it lacks the same friendly buzz that you get in London.Newcastle's like that though. It's better than it used to be. I took my black mate to Newcastle a few years ago and she got started and given shit off the stnuc you get in toon. Pull that trick in London and you'd get your head stoved in - Newcastle however is a different story.Hugh wrote:i think newcastle does fairly well considering the size of the city. Newcastle's just a bit well... provincial.
Not a bad city but like the fans of NUFC their loyalty to the city is very jaundice.

Re: Why are the dubstep nights in Newcastle shit?
i dont think its that bad and its too small to have many more regular nights. white elephant are still doing nites just moving venues. deviate at whq have been putting a few bits on aswell but they tends to have even more toffy louty types. if the musics decent its generally enough.Sick Cat wrote:I am sick of this city. Lived here all my life and some of my best friends live here but it is jam packed with wankers. Even dubstep nights are full of alpha-male wankers. I have never experienced this in Brum, Bristol or London.
I hate this town.
Feeling a bit PMT weepy tonight lol
or exodus is a short bus ride away, one at the end of may looks class.
