Perhaps the sell-out of Dubstep to the mainstream is further advanced in the rest of the world than I imagined. Granted, that was always on the cards considering that it's happened in other Bass-subcultures before. However, I counted my home country has an unlikely vector to illustrate that, considering that despite an early take-up with UK Dubstep acts touring here since 2003, it still remains an underground community here. So to those who care about such things, I'm apologising on behalf of my community. And no need for you to take offence, if you don't.grave wrote:lol, what the fuck are you on about?Shards wrote:
On behalf the Australian Dubstep Community, I would like to apologise in advance of these screening in the UK & add that AFAIK we have had no part in this further commoditization of the sound. I can only speak for myself when I say I don't condone these movements into the mainstream, but even my peers here that don't agree with me on that would probably agree Neighbours is the least ideal or worthy vehicle to push it there.
everyone needs to drop the whole protector of dubstep schtick.

I just watched it on Youtube and it is definitely at laugh.
How does Libby even know what dubstep is? She must be secretly into grime and listen to Mary Hobbs on her weekends off.
I think the plot line should continue with her making a few beats for Ramsey St. MC Harold and DJ Liberty!
Now that's a plot line.
