i just want to point out that "turn my swag on" is an absolute tune.
i want to hear bun b/j money/yung la/gucci mane over skream's "bahl fwd" and some joker/gemmy beats.

There's a lot of snobbery going on in this thread, some of it blatant and some more subtle
but equally unpleasant. Whenever these sort of threads come up people start talking about
dubstep like it's their girlfriend or something and get all bitchy about "how dare this/these
person/people who I don't like associate with dubstep" Just because you've been posting
here and wanking off to Rinse every night for the last 4 years does not mean you some
how have an actual investment in it that gives you the right to speak about who should
listen to it or what should happen with it. Most people can manage a simple ”like it” or
”not for me” without hijacking the topic to express their unwanted opinions on
people or groups of people, if you need to do that then go and tell your mum or something and
stop hurting my eyes.
Anyway, I reckon Rodney P would sound heavy, I think they used bits of his vocals on
The Dub War 12 and even that sounds good.
Oh and anyone who thinks Snoop has gone shit needs to listen to rhythm and gangsta
 (allow the nelly track though)

Having just read The Independent's article, I think this was quite an interesting quote:
"Dubstep is an appealing sound but kind of disturbing and dark at the same time. It's actually a hard sound for rappers to work with because there's so much bass and other elements that drown out the vocals."

actually the piece is quite well-researched. she inquired about the background of the project, interviewed the main people involved (plastic and elcher) and basically got all of the facts right. that's far more than most "experts" on here would ever dare to achieve in their dreams.

yeah i don't really get what was so terrible about the article. it laid out the plain facts that snoop rapped over eastern jam and everybody here immediately got their period.

I thought the article was alright actually, apart from some eye brow raising typing errors lol
Once again plastic keeping it real! should be the official UN Ambassador for Dubstep
