Problems with midrange 'bass'

Post by futures_untold » Tue Apr 28, 2009 8:13 pm

I was reading recently how the walls of Jericho were destroyed by sub bass.

The diagram below has been carefully illustrated to demonstrate why midrange cack is no good.

So learn from the lessons of history and avoid making the same mistakes!

The thing is through decent club / monitoring / sound systems sub bass is the shit and will easily take on mid range stuff no questions asked. But when played through other systems mobile phone / computer speakers whatever midrange is gonna be more prominent and people wont notice the sub so I guess thats why people are trying to focus on that more
