Mala has it hands down for me.

Pinch definitely comes close, and burial is just on a slightly different ting...but obviously ridiculously sick.

Burial/Mala...hmmmm :?

Chase and status are fucking genius as well.

Like they just come out with amazing shit in every genre they do.

Their dubstep is up there with Skream and Benga and shit and the d&b they come out with is on par with like Spor and Noisia.

But yeahh... :D

So you reckon Chase & Status have a wide bredth of depth to their music, and have positively influenced the scene?

Imo, their tunes all sound samey.. :|

as i've said before they are good engineers, they just seem to copy the style of what's big at the moment and come off sounding generic

You think what you want mate, I'm not the thought police!

I would question whether they are the best dubstep producers to ever grace the face of the earth, however popular they may be...

Hitler was popular for a while, but that didn't make him good. To me, Chase & Status are beneath contempt, but that is another story -w-

while I agree with alot being said about chase & status being slightly generic...

the tune called "Running" is incredibly innovative and was nothing like any other dubstep being produced at the time

I have to vote for Reso on this one. The percussion is always absolutely crazy and innovative, the basses sound crisp, full and wide, and the highs and melodies are always filling the tracks out to the fullest amount possible. People might not like this type of dubstep (not me its my favourite) but they have to admit at what he does, theres noone better.
