What? It's a way of beginers with not such a big budget to get Technics 1200 MK2's...

cheap stuff on ebay= bad condition decks that need servicing and bits repaired or replacing, crackling faders and blown channels i would save up and buy either from a shop or some one you can go test the stuff out!

EBay for Technics or stfu tbh.

If as the doom monger above says the decks are in any state of disrepair they are honestly not that hard or expensive to fix any of the major parts (ie: tonearm, pitch fader, on/off switch, gnd/rca cables, cue lamp) plus you'd have the added knowledge to be able to fix problems in future without having to resort to some shop ripping you off for a 5 minute job.

You're looking for around £180-£250 for a pair of mkIIs in reasonable nick. Also, you'd be able to sell them for the same price you bought them if you really do fancy some shiny new ones later on. Win!

to the above

wasn't meaning to put the doom on ebay and cheap second hand gear but he said he was a amateur. thought he would rather avoid shops ripping him off for servicing and trying to do it all your self, when if you buy from some one in person most of the above can avoided. had some bad luck with dj equipment over the years guess thats why im spreading the doom!! lol

you're not going to get anything decent for 200.

the problem is that you'll buy cheap decks and grow out of them in about a month. then if you decide you don't want to DJ anymore they have no resale value.

2nd hand techs are still the best way to go for mixing IMO. but if i was spending money on new decks i'd get the vestax pdx 3000s.
