I dunno though, for me it's all about the dark heavy stuff.

But, I guess I've built up a resistance to untuneful nasty music. Being into Noise,Power eleectronics, Black Metal, Grindcore etc.

I do really enjoy the deep stuff very much too. Particularly darker bass heavy stuff.

but the heavy shit still does it for me.

it happened with Drum & Bass 10 years ago. some of the Dark & Heavy Wobbler stuff & Hip Hop oriented Dubstep just gets on my nerve. To each his own. I like the Dubbier older "Rankin" stuff & deep/soulful vibes
I like my dnb to have piccolo snares, half time beats, apocalypse now samples, screaming, bell rides, contaminate breaks, tramens, double kicks, triplets and intros with just a hat every bar.

The dark stuff is the best!!! due to producing music and stuff - your always analysing it and thinking how to make that sound... and the dark/heavy stuff is what makes me say "WOW, how the heck do you make that sound, theres no logic"

i dont see most of the wobble stuff as dark, when i think of dark dubstep i immediately think of the older dubstep such as the tunes on dubstep allstars 2 (my favourite one). see the wobbly stuff as aggresive but not really dark. but a tune like voodoo by loefah is DARK!

The way I look that me, Quest and Anti Social make is it’s music to dance to, not music to bang your head to. You can do your own dance, your shoulder dance or nod your head - you don’t have to go all out. And that’s why I like to do long sets. I’ve been getting two hours sets recently, I feel like it really represents me, I want to go everywhere. I’ll play the hard aggressive tune at the right time but at the same time I’ll bring it all the way down to something else that’s nice and mellow. The way I see it is a banger is only a banger if the last tune wasn’t. You have to go harder and harder and harder. It’s like heroin: in the end you don’t feel it.
