La Roux - In For The Kill (Reference Meets Skream Remix)

Post by reference » Mon May 18, 2009 5:49 pm

probably gonna get some stick for doing this, but it was a thing i experimented at a little while back, when it just came out. i love the bass and can't get the original acapella. so now i got my monitors. i decided to finish it off. it's my first attempt at a remix, so give a listen all the way through, it's about the same length as the skream version, and changes to wobble around 2:55 please give me some honest feedback, as i'm only 16 and trying to take music seriously. 320 download if you want it to play out etc, could do with mastering better though, as i'm a bit poor at it in my opinion. :) sorry for the life story anyway

in my opinion its a weird remix, was just a bit of fun really

One problem... it sounds like your loops are going out of sync with the original within the first 16 bars :S Think you need to re-set your master tempo or something...

yeah thats exactly what my mate said, and he hasn't had the time to show me how to timestrech in fruity. did it as best as i can, and was just do trying to fill something in intro, so people didn't just think it was more of the same. i will probably go back to it after reciving enough feedback. i thought the start sounds a bit wank myself to be honest, i was just trying to find something to not make it sound like the original from the start.

thanks for the feedback anyway people, much appericated :)

personally not really a fan because skream made a bangin remix and we should leave it at that. big ups for giving it ago tho.
the background synth gets a bit repetative and frustrating lol....
