Joker's "Stuck in the System" during NBA game

Post by dj cal cutta » Thu May 21, 2009 1:50 am

Just now, Cleveland/Orlando Eastern Conf. finals game 1(in Cleveland), as Dwight Howard was about to shoot a free throw, was quite obvious it was coming from the arena loudspeakers, as well. That's big...

That's dope, I love game arena DJs breaking more 'underground' stuff out at nationally televised games.
I wonder who the DJ in the arena was, I was at a Warriors - Heat game this season and heard a bootleg that An-ten-nae had done being played, I've also heard Santogold / now Santigold - Creator (produced by Freq Nasty and Switch) at NBA games.
Also in last years NBA finals there was a Michael Jordan commercial that Kraddy had made the music for, but that was an official commercial project.

wow, my favorite 'dubstep tune' ever. that's better than sirius during the old chicago bulls lineup which was BIG.. I mean this:

both tunes got that rocky balboa feeling, you know.. you can hear the struggle and the blink of hope

also, it's kind of proof that what joker actually makes is really good hip-hop instrumentals. since thats what they play at nba games.

Nice!

They should've played some Jakes after that Dwight Howard dunk that ended up knocking the shot clock and backboard camera over. I've always thought some Dubstep would work in an Arena environment but never thought I'd see the day. There always too busy playing Sandstorm and other BS.
I was surprised to see Tigger (formerly of BET & WPGC 95.5) mixing Hip-Hop over the PA at a Wizards game I went to this year. Good shit!

I would have had a heart-attack had this happened, heheheh

and yeah, I gotta agree, I *really* like this trend of NBA arenas having DJ's play during games. I'd kill for that gig w/the Blazers...

I was just thinking how ironic it was that this happened in Cleveland since a mix I just did had "Notorious Thugs" (feat. Bone Thugs from Cleveland) into "Do It" by Joker.
