i hate htfr rant

Post by brass monkey » Thu May 21, 2009 10:33 am

i hate those stnuc

ive got that retarded stanton diablo 3 cartige/stylus and i can only order the replacement stylus through them, ive replaced the piece of shit stylus 3 times and each time theyve fucked up my order.

this time they sent the order to my billing address instead of my shipping adress and when i phone they claim that they werent given an alternative adress (the email sent to from them states otherwise). Then they told me that im lying when i tell them that the past 2 orders were sent to my shipping address and that they were all sent to my billing one.

now im in a situation were i havent played for a week because ive been waitin on these stnuc and ive got a radio show and club to play tonight.

HTFR YOU ARE UTTER stnuc

HTFR are totally cool what are you all talking about????!!!!!

Just kidding.

They sure do get alot of animosity from ALOT of people here.

If you have a bad experience with them just don't buy from them.

It's rather unfortunate and strange that they're the only folks with the stylus you need???

I've read horrible shit about HTFR constantly for more than 6 years now, I can't understand how they stay in business.

I don't know how qualified I am to give advise but here goes.

Always have a backup and dont wait until the backups are dead to order replacements.

When I played live sets in the mid 90s I had 3 of every cable I only needed one of, 10 of every adapter I needed 6 of etc... with a bin of extra shite laying around for contingency.

The cool thing about Sure stylus cases is they have 4 slots. You can bring 4 to any gig and it takes up the same amount of space as a case that can handle 2. When one breaks it should be replaced right away.

As far as that shop goes, they probably realise they have the monopoly on that hardware, so they feel they can treat you like hell, like a phone company in the 80s. In your case I would turn to a different brand, even if you need to buy online and wait for shipping -> If you have 4 needles in the hopper this should never be a real problem.

thats a really good idea, i geuss i could keep these as spare when i get other ones

and you know what else is wellll cheeky? they charge me something liek £3 for shipping when the stylus itself isnt even in legit packaging that diablo 3s are meant to come in (instead bubble wrap) and they send it in an envelope that can be delivered for like 25 fucking p!!!!

LOL

biggest f-wit shop on the planet. dont ever try to buy anything actually 'hard to find' or chances are you'll be buying second rate dodgy pressing sold as original.

you buy there at your own risk

Ha! Do HTFR still not put the prices on the front of their vinyl? I lived in Birmingham about 6 years ago and did the bulk of my record buying from there, that always annoyed the hell out of me not knowing when you took a record to the counter if it would cost you 6,7, 8 or even £12...

Yep they still don't put prices on Vinyl! Fucks me right off! I hardly ever shop in there but it was a case of I had to pick up a few records for a set last week so I had to go in there as the other record shop in Brum (Tempest) didn't have the tracks I wanted! Got to htfr and the tunes they said they had in stock weren't, so was pretty much a wasted trip! Lucky it's not far from my work!

Avoid them at all costs and yes as someone mentioned earlier the Dubstep section is shite - its like one row of records and way overpriced compared to other online shops!
