UAD RE-201 question

Post by future one » Tue May 26, 2009 1:32 am

Does anyone know how to get 3/4 delay timing with the RE-201 at 140 bpm?

3/4 is my standard dub delay setting but it doesn't seem to a preset on the RE-201... Seems strange that it isn't.

if its not a standard tempo synced option, you'll have to do it manually.

(240000/140)*3/4 = 1286ms

it may not go that long - bit of an annoying limitation. at work now so cant check.

the orig space echo's are definitely NOT tempo-syncable, so it wouldn't surprise me if they kept that as a 'feature'.

mainly because the best part of the space echo is sitting there wondering about just what the fuck it's chosen to do ;)

Cheers for the help everyone!

The space echo is a crazy beast. For longer delays it's hard to get sounding good without doing lots of automation.

Hey Depone that list of tempos to bpm would come in handy. Would def be keen to check it out if you have a spare min to scan it.

yeah tis a beast. like driving on ice. have to watch the intensity to avoid too much feedback. possibly like the real thing, never used one unfortunately.

poss my no.1 request for uad is to extend the delay times, but they are generally adamant about recreating exactly not 'improving'

are you demoing, or did you buy? the time cube is another awesome delay, very different but much more flexible.
