changed my life living in NYC i can tell you that.

benga in march 08 was my first night. mind = blown.

the space in the sound was absurd. 26 basslines in that room changed my life.

Image

^^found this pic recently in perks photos. a very sweaty me (with that hat over my eyes) giving Benga the praise :lol:

i miss being able to easily take the A train there every month by myself from harlem and just fade into the bass for the night.

nothing like that room in Love man, killer!

living in buffalo now takes so much more to get me there instead of just heading to every one! :lol:

hopefully i'll be out soon.

deep medi anti social night = BIG.

oneman = BIG

nothing but respect and love.

The DMZ/dubwar night was also my first night and still prolly my favorite as well. Changed my life, I just remember sitting there absolutely flabergasted at what I was hearing and probably looked like a little kid who had eaten too much candy. I could not believe how good it sounded in there (LOVE), never have I heard such a clean, and maximum bass system in a club, I danced my ass off.
Also the Silkie/Quest night is right underneath for pure amazingness. Hmmmm..... I'm really contemplating coming up for this, Cyrus and Distance? Wish I didn't live a 4 hour drive from NYC.

I knew something special was taking place at my second Dubwar which took place at the Chapel in the Avalon. There were "5" fliers in the air for the rewind, some goth chick was writhing in the floor with her legs up and Juakali was like "You should be ashamed of yourself, Missy. What would your mother say?" and some patrons from the main room passed through the room and one of them asked me what was going on and what kind of music was playing and I said "This is dubstep". By the time I heard Warrior Queen being dropped by Skream at the first anniversary party, I was hooked.

Happy Birthday Dubwar family! I'll be there in a few weeks as I usually am. By the way, awesome flier Seckle!

Excellent post Gigi -- classic stuff! We laughed for a week about that line....

One thing -- i think Pokes said that line, not Jua.
